i have an Arduino mega and i want to create 2 Khz -1/1 v sine waves !Not directly as AVR chips only use ground and positive Vcc voltages, so not possible to create a negative output voltage directly. And as it has no true analog output functions it cannot even generate a +1vdc output directly. External components and/or modules would be required.can i do it ? and how ?I would look for a bipolar DAC module that uses I2C or SPI communications to work with the arduino. Possibly something like this:http://www.maximintegrated.com/datasheet/index.mvp/id/4241?utm_expid=50713806-2&utm_referrer=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Furl%3Fsa%3Dt%26rct%3Dj%26q%3Dbipolar%2520dac%26source%3Dweb%26cd%3D3%26sqi%3D2%26ved%3D0CEsQFjAC%26url%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.maximintegrated.com%252Fdatasheet%252Findex.mvp%252Fid%252F4241%26ei%3DcZ_MULjxN-nj2QWcu4DwBg%26usg%3DAFQjCNHkhHxZOaZ5F7zprRW7fWm8rJILRQLeftythank you very much !
can i do it ?
and how ?
run the mcu at 2v,
generate a 0-2v pulse and put a capacitor on the output
you can use a 2v zener / led to limit its swing down to 2v.
