I'm well aware of this thing called Google. However, I thought that maybe some here heard of recent developments or something I'm overlooking.

Well, "I feel lucky" took me to a list of open source single board computers that extended off the bottom of the page, so if Google only turned up those three for you then you're doing it wrong.
