Bigger Bigger Smaller Smaller Reset Reset

Hey guys,

I got a few samples from Maxim and they sent me a MAX335 which I didn't even ask for.
Anyway, it's a serial controlled 8 channel SPST switch, the datasheet is available here: datasheets.maxim-ic.com/en/ds/MAX335.pdf
I don't really know how I would go about controlling it since I'm still a begginer to electronics.

It would be great if you could tell me how to control it or direct me to a simple tutorial that will help me learn how to do it.

Regards,
Josh

These are analogue switches rather like the 4066. They come with a built in shift register.

So all you need to do is to follow the shift out (not shift in) tutorials on this site for interfacing and use where you would use an analogue switch like multiplexing more analogue inputs.
