I would like to make a sensing station to send values to a website through the ethernet shield. Does anyone know some sort of shield that incorporate various sensor? I am on a limited budget and i want to make the most out of it. I'm using an Arduino duemilanove with a ethernet shield on it and i'm waiting to buy the sensor shield. What would you advise me to buy?

you stated "various sensors" but it would be helpful to know what kind... temperature, sound, light, humidity ect...

Take a look at the electronic brick idea. There's a selection at iTead as well as other places scattered around the web. My favorite place to look at this kind of thing is at the YourDuino store (it's operated by one of the forum members) at:

I use something I made myself.
On the center I have ground and +5v lines and the rest of the pins are freely routable with short jumper wires.
You can also rearrange the pins on the other end of the 3 or 4 wire cable with dupoint connectors you are using to connect the sensor, so this works with any sensor that requires 5v and 1 or 2 other IO pins. I have also added some extra +5v and ground pins to the other end of the proto board.

If someone is starting out with sensors, maybe look at this on the http://ArduinoInfo.Info WIKI:
(Click on a sensor for How-To)
DISCLAIMER: Mentioning stuff from my own shop... which is what I know about :-)
Some sensors (mostly as easy-to-connect Electronic Bricks) here: http://goo.gl/FK9Hc
Cables and connections stuff here: http://arduino-info.wikispaces.com/Cables
Other: I am working on some WIKI pages to help users get started with connecting Arduino to the Internet using an Ethernet shield or interface brick. So I'm following this and other discussions. I hope to pull something together soon. I have an unfinished page here: http://arduino-info.wikispaces.com/Cosm-Arduino but it has code examples that work with Cosm.com
Anyone with suggestions or pointers please email email@example.com
