Topic: Introducing Embrio! A new visual programming tool for Arduino (Read 1 time) previous topic - next topic

I've been working hard on a new kind of visual programming environment for embedded software. The first version runs on the Arduino because it's so easy to use and has a big user base.  It's Windows only for now, hopefully more versions will be coming soon.

In Embrio you make your programs with an easy to use visual editor in a "real-time, agent based" architecture with a live connection to your Arduino, then when your program is done it gets compiled and uploaded so the Arduino can run on its own. The agent based architecture is inherently parallel, so most of the challenges of multi process programming go away! And it's fun!

There's a slightly limited free version that you can use as much as you want, and a full license is cheap.

You can read more and download the software at www.EmbrioEmbedded.com.
