Taking bld's idea...

What's on the shopping list for you next?

For me, it's potentially a Nikon D7000 body...

An Android tablet. If a decent one comes available.

Christmas presents!  The eldest daughter needs a new laptop, and maybe a new desktop too.  New backup drives, to be (theoretically) copied to and sequestered off-site.
But there aren't any great needs, nor compelling non-needs, so I'm a something of a loss.

I paid property taxes on the houses today (ouch!)

Still waiting for the expected (large) tax refund (taxes submitted in october, near the last possible date...)

Thinking of lending money to  the TechShop SJ effort; an interesting prospect...

Then it might be a brake for my unicycle  :)

I understand that one...I've got property taxes on my mom's old house to pay (as I wait for f-ing ever in the limbo known as probate - next time, mom, leave a will).

Honestly, my next big purchase is likely to be one of the following:

1) Repair work on my Bronco (needs a large overhaul of the suspension, among other work - might get some locking diffs, too).

2) A/C unit for my shop.

If I'm lucky, maybe both...

:)
I will not respond to Arduino help PM's from random forum users; if you have such a question, start a new topic thread.

Would be a house if I am not:
1) Too cheap
2) Too underpaid as a prof.
3) Too picky on the back yard orientation (has to be south in this cold world)
4) Too specific (can't do split entry or ranch)
5) working in a town that's too small
6) Too afraid to be a slave of the bank

All the parts to make one quadcopters, the sensors alone cost over 200$ :(

Chassis design produced through ponoko. I can feel that custom cut acrylic under my fingertips already.

Could you share your pics when you get your piece back?

BTW, how did Einstein upset you?

jezuz

Sure thing, but I probably won't send it out for a month or so - I'm still working on the design (my first time, so it's gonna take a while).

The Einstein thing... well an old physics teacher of mine once wrote "what if E != mc^2?" in my yearbook, so I thought I'd steal his joke. No beef with Einstein here.

liudr

Hahaha, I suppose a lot of theorists will lose their jobs. Units will be messed up if somehow E=mc or E=mc^3.
