I am a newbie in Arduino. I have a very little experience with the Atmega8 though. I want to know, Can I burn an Atmega8 via the UNO board & plug out the microcontroller & use it in a personalised PCB for a specific project..?

Kindly help.

I believe so, isn't Atmega8 used in one of the older board types in the IDE?
