Hi everybody,

is it possible to use ultrasonic transducers in order to build a flaw detector for inspecting thick metal plates? I seen some transducers that uses lemo connections but I can't find other specs.

Can you give me some advice?

Yes, probably, but try a non-destructive testing forum for definitive answer.
Remember the speed of sound in steel is nearly 20 times the speed of sound in air.
