i would like to use the arduino to switch mains power on and of via wifi connection
i presume i would use the uno and the wifi sheild and need to incorporate a 250v relay etc
is there any arduino boards that can make this process easier

the most important thing is to choose an Arduino board that matches the WIFI board you choose.

Hi,
Do you need WiFi because the Arduino setup will be moved often? If not an Ethernet shield and cable to your router would be less expensive.

terry i do intend to move about so connecting to a cable isnt realy an option and wifi is  necesary
ill look at the relay links you sent me
