I already trashed it but i will just use 12v and if it is to slow bump it up to 24v. Any ides on how to find the amperage?

Like I said, measure the DC resistance of the motor, then you can work out the stall current @ 12V. Measure the resistance several times, rotating the shaft slightly between readings, and take the lowest reading.
