hi as i am new to the arduino world as in only just bought one would it be to hard to do a LED cube stright away as i dont understand the coding yet

A 1 by 1 by 1 cube would be pretty easy. A 2 by 2 by 2 would be 8 times as hard. What are you expecting to be able to do with the LEDs? Fade? Just on and off? Tricolor?

I did that! It's awesome for starting out.

I was going to build one when I got my first arduino board only to discover they already included such a 'cube' wired to pin 13 and even included an example sketch to control it.  smiley-cool
