Topic: Simple DIY 2 wheel drive chassis (Read 1 time) previous topic - next topic

Hi,

I'm looking for some helpful information/ideas on creating a drive chassis? I'm interested in learning about the drive motors and techniques to connect/integrate with wheels, etc. This is all DIY. I don't want to buy a pre-made solution, I would like to see some ideas on how other folks have done this.

If anyone has any pointers I would be greatly appreciative.

Thanks!

Below is a simple project I tinkered with that was two wheeled. The center of gravity was kept low so it could make use of only two wheels, somewhat like a segway.

Consider the daffodil. And while you're doing that, I'll be over here, looking through your stuff.   8)

Thanks that post is really interesting ... for the wheels, are continuous rotation servos typically used? Thanks!

Continous rotation servos are inexpensive and easy to use for starter projects. The ones I modified and used were $5 each.
