Would`nt it be great if you could build those LED Cube displays without having to do all that soldering?

Why does no-one make LED`s in cubes that just plug together?

Encapsulate LED in cube with pins and sockets that mate together to form any shape or size of Cube.

I can`t see anything technically difficult about this, just needs to be mass produced in china etc.

(I know Lego make LED bricks, but they have the battery built-in)

Because the people who build led cubes are the same people who won't spend a few extra pennies for parts, as it is.

E.g. The people who buy from ebay or deal extreme and then come here for technical support.
