how about letting users put in their skill level (so appears on the left somewhere under their username and they can change it as needed).. the reason for this is because a lot of the feedback we get when we ask questions... are said to us as if we are expected to be as good as the one giving the advice and understand it all.

a lot of the talk goes above our heads after awhile.. some of us are new to all this after all.. we that are new, wish you guys wouldn't put us all in the same category thinking we all know as much as you do and that we should understand it as much or as clearly as you guys do.

btw, some of us are visual learners.. we can read and read all we want - but unless we see it, it won't stick...

Good idea,
some people already do, or they say something like I'm 11 years and got a Arduino for X-mas

Besides that everyone who asks a question should also
- describe the goal of his project (gives context)
- describe the problem (it doesn't work is not enough)
- describe what they tried so far
- describe what they expect
- describe the output they got
- post (a minimal version of) the code that shows the problem
- post schematics
- links to datasheets of sensors used.

If every Question had these info I would have 25% less postings I guess..

It is simple, the more info a person gives about the problem the better answers he gets.

Don't forget libraries, when they are not core (or standard) libraries.

Just a quick question, what time is the forums on? I'm in Illinois, I posted about 3pm and it shows being posted at 9pm. Is there a local time option? It's nothing vital, just an idea.
