Topic: Arduinos, 2 Xbee node and 1 Coordinator (Read 119 times) previous topic - next topic

Hi guys, I have 3 Xbees 2.0 version, and I want to let the communicate with each other. I want to setup one as the coordinator and two as the node. Each node and the coordinator are attached to the arduino, and they talk over Serial.print().

The node receives the information from the two arduinos via xbee, and then send them to the internet.

To have this architecture working, is it as easy as opening X-CTU, set the PAN id, set one xbee as coordinator, then set the same PAN id to the nodes, and tell them (the nodes) to communicate to the coordinator by its address?

Would this allow me to do this on node 1:

Code: [Select]
Serial.println("1");

And this on node 2:

Code: [Select]
Serial.println("2");

And from the serial monitor of the coordinator see this?

Code: [Select]
1
2

Thanks!

I'm certain it would have been faster to try that, than to post the question here.

The feeling is mutual
