Topic: Recommendation for wifi shields (Read 780 times) previous topic - next topic

I have been using the Arduino wifi shield, and after doing get requests, I noticed that it is not very good. From the get requests, I get things such as:
<meta http-ÿeqtÿiv="Content-Type"
clor: instead of "color"

so I want to try a 3rd party wifi shield, or something that is stronger and more stable.
Any suggestions?

Any suggestions?

The usual one. Post your code. If your problem is reproducible, perhaps it can even be corrected.

Why? Do you plan to stand on it? Drive over it? Or do you have a different definition of stronger than I do?
The art of getting good answers lies in asking good questions.

I am just running the example code from here: http://arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/WiFiWebClientRepeating. I just changed the ssid and password to those of my own router.

Over the past few days, I have been trying this code and a few other codes to run a simple get request and have been having problems non-stop.

From the android wifi shield, if you saw those results, I am experiencing packet loss I guess; although my wifi shield is like sitting hip to hip with the router itself, and my signal strength is good.

o nvm, apparently there are just problems with the wifi shield and mac OSX. Tried my same code on a windows machine and it works. Thanks
