I just added South Africa to my Cape Town location, there might be some that don't know what country the Worlds most beautiful city is :-) Oh yeah, I've heard that Africa is a big country and there you live in the south part. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZQVRWHbt18I went to sell her a bridge but.... BTW, how many people here know the mains power in say Singapore? I don't.

or taking it out of context and telling people she said them. In Washington, I suppose to be fair to Sarah Palin, there is some confusion about where and what Washington is , outside of the US :-) Dead right about the power reference, I think its a great idea showing location, I am saying I was a bit naive thinking that everyone knows what country Cape Town is in ( and your link proves it !! )

We have a big state named Washington, and a Washington District of Columbia (yeah, we're really owned by Columbians but don't tell!) and town after city after county, etc, named Washington....
So why would anyone be confused? It's really a ploy to keep Iran and NK from targeting missiles properly, The Onion is part of the spoof.

How could I forget, my country is Florida!
I've seen bits of Cape Town in the Charlie Jade series. That was some good sci-fi!
And how about my mains power? This is the city where Westinghouse was based when he hired Nicolas Tesla. IRRC here is where the first commercial AC generators were made. It could have been New York but for Edison, the great man, LOL!

Edison simply suggested a way to do it. There was nothing simple about it - it was calculated to show how dangerous Westinghouse's AC was.

Yes, a DC electrical grid would be so much safer and impractical. From what I remember, the worst part about 60 cycle AC is the 60 cycle part. It's just right to start fibrillation.
