I'm having some issues with a DHT11 sensor. I used the tutorial in the playground section of this website, but when I run the sketch the serial monitor returns I2ýþYš’rw
¢’dB‹òþd°šTv6 ect. What am I doing wrong? Is the sensor just bad?

Looks like a baud rate problem.  Is the baud rate at the bottom of Serial Monitor set the same as the baud rate passed to Serial.begin() in your sketch?
