Not a problem - it is best sometimes that these things are discussed.

(There was a famous bug on the early Pentium, involving hardware floating-point divide.
The error was such that if you did, as Pink Floyd suggested, set the controls for the heart of the Sun, you'd miss by about 25cm)

Only if no one learned anything useful.

Like Arduino integers will work faster than Arduino FP even when I don't have to be so accurate.
