 Hi members im happy that im now a member of this wonderful group. I intend to study microcontroller but i dont where to start. i mean what arduino model should i buy to get started. Please help.

Any model will do. If you have budget constraints, I'd advise getting a cheaper Arduino and spending as much on "peripherals".
Unless you have the following, you should get it:
- breadboard
- jumper wires
- resistors of all shapes and sizes, including pots and trimmers
- LEDs of various colours
- some transistors
- maybe a shift register or two

The way you have it in your schematic isn't the same as how you have it wired up! That goes for me too.
