Bigger Bigger Smaller Smaller Reset Reset

I have an arduino UNO that I need to power for a project. I don't want to spend money so I went around the house looking for power plugs that would work. I found
-12 v 0.3 amp
-12 v 3.0 amp
-12v 1.5 amp
Which of these would work best?
Also, what is the max voltage and amperage that arduino can handle?
Thanks

The Arduino itself needs about 50mA.

What you hook up to it is a different story.

As of right now, I am planning on just hooking up servos, LEDs and various sensors

As of right now, I would be looking into what each of those components draw.

Keep in mind if you put 12V into the Barrel jack, the onboard regulator will probably start shutting down after 400mA.  So any of the high-current devices like motors need to be powered separately.

Umm, you need between +7V and +12V, not -12V.

Thats probably just formatting. -12v 3A adapters are pretty rare from my (limited) experience.

If it truly is -12V then just simply swap the leads over so the positive one is the inside barrel connection.
