Hi, I recently purchased an uno board along with the motor shield(+sensors). However, I have no idea about inserting the shield onto the board  smiley-cry
The pins seem soldered in both the arduino and the shield. i dont see any provision for attaching the shield directly. what is it taht i must do. Kindly help.

Are you sure it's a shield, not a standalone board?

Maybe you should give details of the make and model, and or a photo. Shields are designed to just simply push down into the Arduino holes

Edit... the pix attached show one of my shields 1) approaching the Uno, 2) on the Uno, and 3) pressed home.
