Does Xbee allow simultaneous transmission and receiving? Is it multiplexed; if so, how? How many channels does it provide?

Thanks

Depends on the model.

Did you check the web page? http://www.digi.es/xbee/

I've looked into the XBee Pro, it says it has 16 channels, what does it mean by channel? Will it need one channel to receive and transmit?
