I took a quick glance at the datasheets, but I can't tell which one is more sensitive.

The HMC6352 can operate on 3.3V and 5V (the HMC5883L only 3.3V) and it can operate without any additional components.
But it is more expensive, and has only 2 axis. So you pay more and get one axis less.

The HMC5883L is a very common, cheap (5 dollars on Ebay), good magnetometer with many examples. So if you want to use a breakout board, I would say that the HMC5883L is the best.

If you only need 2 axis and want use it in a device where every extra space needed by the extra components is a big problem, and don't mind spending more money... well, in that case the HMC6352 is a better choice.
