I'm pretty new to arduino. I'm trying to make a standalone atmega328p in on my board. So I used this guide to burn the bootloader and sketch.
http://www.instructables.com/id/Bootloading-ATmega328-with-Arduino-Mega2560/

Then try to test if my new chip is working or not by replace it to a arduino uno's chip. However, when I try to write a sketch to the uno (replaced atmega328p), I got the "stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding".

Did I do anything wrong? or the chip burnt using above method is not the same as the one came with arduino uno? How do I check if my chip is working? Thanks.
