...and never bought a counterfeit board !

However, you are supporting a company that sells a counterfeit board.  They know it is counterfeit.  Every few months, using extremely deceptive techniques, they try to use this forum to advertise.  As far as I'm concerned, they are leaches.

I have contacted amazon about this, and am awaiting a reply.
I would not care if it were a clone/copy/fake/whatever if it didn't have the Arduio name, logo, and everything else on it. And how can you say they were not selling them as "real" Arduinos The title clearly states it is an Arduino MEGA2560 R3 and is the first one that comes up when you type Arduino MEGA in amazon's search box. Matter of fact I would post a link to it so everyone could examine it, but am unsure if I can.
I thought I had bought 2 REAL arduinos and did not, and would have never known untill this thread. Thank you for enlightening me to this.

which company ? amazon ?
I didn't know they sold counterfeit boards, and didn't know they tried to advertise here !
That's why I asked the question, because mine, which seems identical to the others, comes from them, and I've never seen counterfeit boards in their pages.... I admit that I don't often look what they sell ;)
And... buying one board is not "supporting", is it ?
Do you sometimes buy on ebay ? I'm sure they sell more counterfeit items than any other company  :smiley-mr-green:

I can say that because it was clearly identified as (reference to company selling counterfeit product removed by moderator)

and, as you can see, it is only 1cent cheaper than the real arduino uno  XD

Where is this identified as NOT an Arduino MEGA2560?

If you look at the top of the product listing on the Amazon page, it clearly states "Sold by xxxxxx and Fulfilled by Amazon". In those cases, Amazon is merely acting as a 'middle-man', facilitating the sale & shipping. They are not actually "selling" them. ....Which is one reason I typically do not purchase anything listed in that manner.

Ummm...yes.
What would you call it? Your money goes into their pocket allowing them to support themselves.
You only vote once on Election Day, right? Would you argue that's not supporting that particular candidate? How many times do you have to steal something to be considered a thief? How many times do you have to "try" drugs to be considered a drug-user?

No.

....and that's why.

EDIT:

Little tip, FYI --
It would appear that most of these clones/counterfeits/fakes/what-have-you's have something else in common. If you look at the back and there is a solder-jumper next to the USB input pins, and the four JP2 holes are not filled with solder...it's probably not the real deal.

it was just a question, because mine was identified "xxxxxx" and seemed to be the same as the counterfeit ones, but I believed you
