Topic: Rugged Audio Shield w/ Mega 2560 not working (Read 478 times) previous topic - next topic

I have a Rugged Audio Shield mounted onto a Mega 2560 with the 2x3 pin socket connected to the mega ICSP pins.  I have loaded a micro SD card with .WAV files.  Loaded the test Sketch as follows:

#include <SPI.h>
#include <RAS.h> // Rugged Audio Shield library

void setup(void) {

void loop(void) {

The .wav file is named exactly as above.   I can not get any audio to play out the headphone jack.  The Audio file is: Sample rate of 44.1K, 16 bit, 2 channel.  file size is 602 kb.

Any ideas why this is not working?

I was reading another post about some audio issues, and this question came to mind.  Does the SDcard need to be formatted with a certain file system if so what would it be?  Currently it is FAT32.
