Topic: Web + 3D Printer + Arduino = BotQueue.com (Read 1 time) previous topic - next topic

This might be a bit off-topic, but since the vast majority of 3D printers out there are running on Arduino I thought it was still appropriate.  Mods, feel free to delete or move to an appropriate place.

I just posted a new release of BotQueue.com, and one of the major features was adding support for Raspberry Pi as a client system. This means you can easily create internet controlled 3D printers or CNC machines. Here's the blog entry: http://www.hoektronics.com/2013/04/08/botqueue-update-raspberry-pi-temperature-dashboard/

If you've never heard of BotQueue, its a 100% open source project (GPL, both server and client) that allows you to control your 3D printer or CNC machine through the internet. Its setup with a queue type interface that allows you to group your machines and distribute manufacturing jobs across them. This means you can easily control one or one hundred machines all from a single web interface. It also integrates slicing engines+profiles, 3d model/gcode viewers, and lots of other nice tools to manage and track of your machines. It's actively under development, and if you're a maker or into digital fabrication you should check it out.
