Maybe you should compete with them. Sounds like you have it figured out already. With the amount of money they're making, you should make a killing with your pricing.
To who are you talking? Wink
I guess me, but I dont see it as a fruitful market, there is a billion hobby shops who all have the same product, and SF already has the "OMG I want an arduinoz" noobs down with a google search and a legion of fanboi's getting giggly over a red box they toss in the bin 10 seconds later
I think it should also be taken into consideration that this is a company that actually operates in the US.
and buys their stuff from china, personal miff, pulling out the USA card when all the supplies are coming out of china, we all cant be salemen we need manufacturing too people here in the states too
They try to create some kind of community feeling around their brand.
Yea I haven't figured their community out, they go nuts whenever a new post appears on the page, they go nuts whenever there is an event, between times there is not much of anything going on, whatever i am not going to try and figure it out
Sparkfun is not just a place to get your components (to much competition in that field)
yea I know, they barley sell anything that is not soldered to a breakout board
but more a nice place to shop.
really? see maybe I am getting old but "yet another OS commerce site with a picture, paragraph and some comments" is just that, course I remember having to go somewhere to get your electronics
not saying that their site is bad or anything, its just another site, I dont see it as any nicer than any of the other millions of OSC sites out there
