Topic: Uno R3 wont upload sketches. (Read 233 times) previous topic - next topic

Uno R3, Windows 7.

Just received this board today, it won't upload sketches, I get this error back:

"avrdude: ser_send(): write error: sorry no info avail"

Correct com port and board selected. I tried changing the com port in device manager from com 3 to com 5, same result.

TX and RX lights blink when trying to upload.

Tried the loopback test. TX and RX lights flash when typing a character, but will not echo back.

Tried another USB cable. Same result.

Anything else I can try before I ask for a replacement from the supplier?

If the TX light is blinking you should be receiving characters at the PC. :(

It might be time to re-upload the firmware on the USB-to-Serial chip.  Google "Arduino DFU" to find out how.
