Hello everyone
I am trying to write a code for arduino reflective sensor. Basically, I need my car to go through a track that is bordered by black duct tape (the car shouldn't cross the duct tape). I have searched everywhere for black color detection via reflective sensor but I couldn't find any useful tutorial.
The board that I am using is Arduino Duemilanove w/ATmega328.
Any help is appreciated  smiley

You are in a strange situation, since black colour (ideally speaking) can't be detected :-) It doesn't reflect anything (hence the colour black).

Since duct tape isn't ideal, and may even be a bit shiny, I think almost any available reflective sensor will work just fine.

I know that. But I can't figure out that code that makes it work.

I don't think you connected the grounds, Dave.

Without more detail, nor can we.

Then what sort of details do you need?

The code that you can't get to work that you didn't post, the sensor spec that you didn't post, the vehicle geometry that you didn't post - the usual stuff needed to answer questions.
