Hi,

Does anybody know how to turn an Uno on and off using a tactile button? I have a membrane keypad, and i would like to use one of its buttons to control power to the board.

Thanks

I came across this whilst doing some research.

I would like to use an existing button on my keypad. I'm just not sure what can be added etc. to this.

Is your membrane keypad a matrix keypad? what is the resistance of the contact? it may not be used as a control for on/off switch.

Jamal

No, it's not a matrix keypad, it is a customised pad i got from a friend (insulation resistance > 100 M?)

Jamal

Hey guys,

Does anybody else have any ideas?

Cheers

latching relay or some clever work with FET or two.

I think Retrolefty had posted a good circuit using a relay before.
