i read about the minipov2 project:

it is based on a attiny2313 microcontroller.

working with c and avr studio is quite annoying (thats why arduino is so nice). is it possible to use te arduino ide to ccompile simple software for that microcontroller? is it enough to modify the avr compile flags in a make file? do the avr libraries in the lib folder wwork with the aattiny?

In theory you should be able to do this by editing the preferences.txt file and changing the mcu and target directory, and then porting the libraries from the atmega8 to that attiny.  In practice, it's tricky, since that tiny only has 2Kb of program space (compared to 8 Kb on the atmega8).
