What are the sensitivity, dynamic range, and bandwidth requirements for your detector? Or perhaps what and why you wish to measure 'noise' might help with suggestions.

Here is a recent Instructable that has an audio board  Measures Sound Pressure to connect to an Arduino Board.
Is this what you were looking for?

I  just give you some links I googled about a noise detector.
