Hello,
could it be possible to run the serial interface of the arduino at 1Mbps?

technically the datasheet of the chip indicates that physically it is possible but if I try "serial.begin(1000000);" the communication doesnt take place,

where could i find the source code behind the "serial.begin(speed);"?

The maximum succesfull speed i've tried is 350000bps= 350Kbps,

thanks!

I don't think you connected the grounds, Dave.

source is HardwareSerial.cpp

Maybe try serial.begin(1000001);
