Has anybody got the Car parking sensors which have ultrasonic sensors (4 of them) to work with arduino. Here's one http://dx.com/p/car-parking-sensor-radar-kit-dc-12v-113045.

I want outdoor ultrasonic sensors and they seem to be built for that. The product page says the module is 12v but I wonder if the ultrasonic sensors themselves are 5v or 12v.

those ultrasonic sensors will be good also to measure the water level inside water tanks

Maybe neither; some of the Murata transducers are OK with up to 40 volts

i dont know if this what you ask or something but when you say about car sensor, i imidiately struck ny this article i read a while ago... heres a link

I've been looking around and see a lot of hacks where you connect a micro controller to the original electronics.  But I'd like to use these sensors without the original electronics.  Instead have a simple circuit that would make the signals usable by an Arduino and have the Arduino do everything.  But I haven't found anything yet.
