This is my first post on this forum and first attempt at trying to understand Arduino. So dont hit me in the face when my questions are too stupid.
I would like to build touchscreen controller to switch on and off LED lamps in my house. Ofcourse I could just use switches but I want to be able to switch each lamp individually on and off. There will be a lot of lamps and having so many switches on the wall would not be very nice.
OK real reason is that I am interested in electronics and programming but just did not get a chance to get my hands on it really.
I can solder, I repair a lot of audio amplifiers and have done some programming in Excel and a bit of stepper motor control at school but that is it.
For my purpose is this kit all I need?http://www.ebay.de/itm/Neue-SainSmart-Mega2560-R3-3-2-TFT-Touch-LCD-SD-Reader-TFT-Shield-fur-Arduino-/400498081929?pt=Wissenschaftliche_Ger%C3%A4te&hash=item5d3f8bc089
Is it suitable at all? Looking at the pictures I do not really get where should I connect the relays or MOSFETs for switching the lamps.
