I can't find ANY datasheets on this, and I don't think there's any examples on how to use it with the Arduino. (I'm talking about the NTE74HC299) It also has 20 pins so trying guess based on the 74HC595 Tutorial isn't gonna work.

Actually, I found a datasheet for the thing (I think) but being the not electrical engineer I am, I have no idea what it means. http://www.ortodoxism.ro/datasheets/philips/74HC_HCT299_CNV_2.pdf
