I want to make a SELECTABLE DELAY PULSE GENERATOR WITH 7-SEGMENT DISPLAY

I want to interface two 7-segment display to arduino and from any one pin I want to generate a short pulse with the delay programmable with a potentiometer and the delay time should be shown in the 7 segment display as a counter of second

Please help me making this
