If you download the USBtinyISP version of avrdude (http://www.ladyada.net/make/usbtinyisp/download.html), you can use it to burn the bootloader onto an Arduino or other AVR.  The next version of the Arduino software will have a built-in menu item for burning the bootloader with a USBtinyISP.

awesome and after the bootloader is burnt with AVRdude you can use the arduino software?

Yes, I just built one and burned two atmega 8 and three atmega 168. It works like a charm and was easy to build.
