My minimalistic version of LCD clock:
small Arduino Pro Mini + I2C/TWI LCD backpack + LCD1602 + ultra small High Precision Real Time Clock for Raspberry Pi

also I use
FTDI Breakout Reloaded

In its final form I plan to use this housing:
LinkSprite Clear Enclosure

Screwing into enclosure and two weeks of continuous operation without any problems smiley
