Hello. I have here a hall effect sensors, but I don't want to use them for my POV project, since I can barely make them work. Sometimes they function normally, sometimes not. errrr.
I'm thinking to use these IR sensor. I have here one . (In one package, it has 4 pins, a dark led and a white one). I've been searching on how to use it in arduino, but the codes consist of many lines. I just want to use it as a reference point like reed switch and hall effect in many POV projects.

Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Similar to this one ?
Add a resistor from Emitter (and analog input)  to GND, Collector to 5V,
Digital ouput via 220 Ohm to led anode. kathode to GND
