I'm currently working on an Arduino project that involves being connected to a laptop (we'll call this "computer A") via USB, whilst having another computer ("computer B") in a remote location for other reasons. My question is this: is there a way to send simple messages from "computer B" to the Arduino software on "computer A"? Both computers will be connected to the internet. An example would be that I could send the message "LED #1" to computer A, and computer A would send that through the Serial monitor software to the Arduino to make the built-in LED blink. Sorry if this question is vague. Also, try to keep this as simple as possible, I'm pretty new at this. :)

The Arduino software runs on the Arduino, not on computer A.

Not via the "Arduino software".

No, it won't. You CAN write an application that talks to the Arduino via the serial port, and gets data from some other computer.

What you are proposing is not at all simple.

Thanks for the help. I'll keep those links and techniques in mind...
