Topic: Output not triggering relay (Read 1 time) previous topic - next topic

Dawiinci

I have received my first Arduino Yun.

Currently I'm testing my circuit with a mosfet switching on a relay. It works when I manually use the 5V port of the Yun but not with the Blink sketch mapped to port 6. The LED blinks though if changed to 13.

Am I missing something?

schematic or wiring list and code. (oh yeah, and photo)

It is simply the Blink sketch.

The MOSFET works with direct 5 or 3.3 V. So it can't be the circuit.

I use a BS170.

To "channel" raschemmel if I may, it is clearly not "simply" the "blink" sketch, as you are connecting it to something external to the Arduino.

To figure out the problem, we want to see your circuit, preferably a clearly focused photograph, correctly exposed in good lighting so that every detail can be followed, published using the "Additional options" on the "Post Reply" page in a resolution no larger than 1024 by 768 (and 800 by 600 will usually suffice if the photograph is clear).

In addition, the code you are actually using with this particular circuit, posted using the "code" tags (the [ # ] icon).

I saw that comin' a mile away....

We need a keyboard macro.   :D

The MOSFET wasn't triggered by the OUTPUT pins. Replaced it and now it works.

WOW, SUCCESS in under 10 Replies ! That's almost a record .
