Bigger Bigger Smaller Smaller Reset Reset

Hi everyone,

I would like to make a watermeter with an Arduino Mega2560 and a GSM shield. The purpose would be to send the data from the watermeter to a database on a server through electric pulses that the meter sends to the Arduino Mega. Does the GSM shield have a MAC-address that can be send together with the data? This so that I could eventually install multiple watermeters and I would verify them with their MAC-address.

If you plan on more than 1 unit, a building or commercial venture, do yourself a favor and investigate "Internet of Things"... The future us all about storing that data in the cloud.  Some sites have free hosting and tools for analytics.

Forget about MAC, envision URL.
