Topic: SPI clock line not changing (Read 659 times) previous topic - next topic

hey all,

I'm trying to get the sample SPI EEPROM code to work with an atmel 25P1024 EEPROM with no luck.  I broke out the oscilloscope and found that the clock line SCK doesn't change levels when the SPI transfer should be in progress - it always stays low.  The MOSI line does change.

I do see a brief square wave when the device boots (immediately after power up or reset), but nothing afterwards.

I've checked the pinout and connections about 17 times and have rewired the breadboard a couple of times, even changed breadboards, to no avail.

I'm stuck; clues would be appreciated.

thanks,
/me
