Topic: Arduino Duemilanove set up (Read 604 times) previous topic - next topic

Hi all,
I have a problem installing my Arduino Duemilanove board (ADB) . I used the ADB on windows XP and everything perfect. But now I want to use it with windows 7 and I can't used. I run the basic file that is in File<Examples<Digital<Blink but it says:
Problem uploading to board.
avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00
avrdude: stk500_disable(): protocol error, expect=0x14, resp=0x51

So far I have done this:
- I set up the board (Tools<Board<Arduino Duemilanove)
- Tools<Serial Port<COM4
- Update the driver (the one that says COM4 in Device Manager)

I used the board before in Windows XP and it worked. I download the version 18 of arduino in windows 7.

I don't know what else to do, if someone know please let me know. Thanks.

i used Windows 7 x64 without problem, but seem to be slow compiling, try to unplug the usb and upload again.
