Came across this Wired article. A well written warning for all the wireless Bluetooth/Wifi/RF enabled garage door openers, egg breeding machines, aquaria, cat food dispensers, car ignitions, weather stations, wind tunnels, alarm systems, helmets, RC cars etc.

Never mind the IOT, I am amazed how people (including businesses, I suspect) store information in "the cloud" where any gangster can get at it. How do we even know if the cloud servers are actually owned by Mafia types?
