I wrote a library to encapsulate the AT+ command use to send SMS or email from Arduino to a mobile phone using software serial.

http://code.google.com/p/sserial2mobile/

It can be used like this:

SSerial2Mobile phone = SSerial2Mobile(2,3);

phone.sendTxt("+15555550125","Lib SMS Test1");
phone.sendEmail("sserial2mobile@example.com", "Lib email test1");

Hope someone else can find this useful.

Great!!

Is there a way to read recieved SMS text messages from the phone.

I would like to connect my Arduino to an old mobile and have the arduino to act depending on the messageses recieved as well as sending status messages.

Is this possible? Does such a library exist?

Great work!

Which pins would I use on my LG 410 phone?

Thanks

Dimitris

Unfortunately each mobile company uses their own set of serial commands etc. AT commands are pretty much the same, but they use different carriage returns and stuff.
I have written some code a few years ago to work with Nokia phones, but I never managed to make it work with Erricsson.

What was your test phone gustavvr?
