With one 7 bit word input to this it will turn on or off one of 128 switches. It could route signals as intended. It could be used as a matrix to drive low current devices or with add on components drive higher current devices.  It's intent is to route signals but it can do more.

Last price on them was $5 and this style of IC seems to be going away which is a pity. :(

Thats a really interesting IC. I was looking for something like that a while ago.
